Our
Vision
The Machine Arts Group envisions a cultural landscape where artificial intelligent systems and human craft are no longer distinct domains but interwoven modes of physical creative practices.
Our commitment is to go beyond the notion of the machine as a mere tool, and support creatives who work alongside intelligent systems as partners in thought and making. We cultivate interdisciplinary collaboration between artists, scientists, designers and makers, and engage wider audiences in conversation about machine-assisted creativity.
Our Activities
Machine Arts Talks
We organize public talks with artists and experts working across robotics, digital fabrication, manufacturing, and computational systems. Through the talks, we create a platform for critical exchange on the creative potential of physical AI, while documenting the individuals and organizations shaping this emerging field.
Machine Arts Shows
We organize and curate exhibitions featuring local and international artists whose work engages machines: from deploying them in art-making processes, to developing autonomous artistically-skilled systems, or interrogating the relationship between machine-based production and human craft.
Machine Arts Workshops
We organize workshops focused on visual computing, creative robotics, and physical art-making.
